YSTRADGWYN HERITAGE CENTRE – CANOLFAN TREFTADAETH

YSTRADGWYN, a former country chapel, is the new welsh heritage centre in Tal-y-llyn, Tywyn, Gwynedd, situated on the B4405 near the junction with the A487, it is adjacent to the well Dol Einion Campsite which is on the Minffordd Path to Cadar Idris

Ystradgwyn Centre has a programme of Guided Walks, Talk Stories, Crafts and Music throughout the summer from 2pm. To 3.15 pm every Tuesday and Thursday. CROESO! ALL are welcome. Booking not required. (There will be a collection for Charity.)

June 8 Guided Walk. A short level walk around the old Dolydd Cau Estate. Hear the story of the first Fizzy Pop made in Britain – which was made right here in Tal-y-llyn!

June 10 The story of the Welsh Costume and famous ladies who wore it.

June 15 The Welsh in Patagonia, emigration and survival from1865 to today.

June 17 guided Walk. A short level walk around theold Dolydd Cay Estate. Hear the story of the first Fizzy Pop made in Britain – which was made here in Tal-y-llyn!

June 22 legends re-told of the Giants and Fairies of Cadar Idris.

June 24 A Musical Hour of Welsh Folk Songs.

June29 guided Walk. A short level walk around the old Estate of Dolydd Cau. Hear the story of the first Fizzy Pop made in Britain – which was made here at Tal-y-llyn!

July 1 What is the “EISTEDDFOD”? Who are the “Gorsedd of Bards” in their blue, green and white robes? Find out here?

..The varied programme continues throughout the summer except for the first week of August.
